🌑
This month the sky is going dark in the sign of Capricorn and it’s giving major "Final Boss" energy. We all know the New Moon drill: it’s a reset, a blank page, and the best time to plant seeds. But this isn't your average lunation. Tomorrow, January 18th, we are witnessing a Massive Multi-Sign Conjunction that acts as a literal bridge between two worlds. We have nearly every planet in the solar system touching this New Moon, creating a controlled implosion of the old to fund the construction of the next era.
The All-Hands-On-Deck Board Meeting
Since basically the entire solar system is showing up for this party, you know there’s something important going on. Every planet is here to have its say and lend a hand in this reconstruction. When almost all the planets are involved, the "Clearing" isn't just physical—it's mental, emotional, and spiritual.

New Moon in Cap
Here is what everyone is bringing to the demolition site to help you out:
Mercury & Mars (26° Cap): The Mind and the Drive. They are acting as the project managers. Mercury has the new blueprints, and Mars is here with the sledgehammer. Together, they give you the "Surgical Strike" energy to make fast, decisive cuts to your schedule and your goals.
The Sun & Moon (28° Cap): The Soul and the Body. They are at the late-degree cliffhanger, signaling that the "Old You" has officially reached the end of the mountain trail. They are the ones actually signing off on the demolition permits.
Venus & Pluto (1°–3° Aqua): The Desire and the Evolution. They are standing just across the border in Aquarius, acting as the Visionary Architects. They are showing you that you aren't just clearing space for nothing—you’re clearing space for a radical new version of what you love and how you hold power.
The Support Crew (Uranus & Neptune): While the pile-up is happening at the bridge, Uranus in Taurus is sending a trine (the spark) to give you the breakthrough you need to let go, and Neptune in Aries is sending a sextile (the vision) to ensure this new castle actually has a soul.
The 28-Degree Implosion
You know that “Well, there’s no going back now” feeling? When you have already gone so far that even if you want to stop or go back, you just can’t figure out how to justify it to yourself? We can compare that to something in psychology called the Sunk Cost Fallacy. That’s when we keep investing time, money, or energy into something that isn't working simply because we’ve already put so much into it.
With Mercury and Mars handing you the tools, the universe is making it impossible to keep pretending the old foundation is safe. This is the time to delete the file and empty the trash. You aren't losing progress; you're clearing the site for a skyscraper... or a castle… whichever tickles your fancy.
The Psychonautic Threshold
From a transpersonal perspective, Capricorn is the Guardian of the Threshold. Think of this as an Operating System upgrade that requires a full hard-drive wipe. We are moving from the "Me/Structure" focus of Capricorn into the "We/Evolution" focus of Aquarius. In the psychonautic space, this is the moment of "ego-distillation"—stripping away the titles and roles to see the essential Architect underneath. Who are you when the grind stops and the future begins? Who are you when nobody is watching (or judging) you?

The Work: Science-Backed Clearing & Integration
If we want to actually change the architecture of our lives, we have to look at the blueprints. Use these prompts to audit your current reality.
1. The Sunk Cost Audit (Psychology: Behavioral Economics)
We often keep building structures (jobs, relationships, habits) because we’re afraid of "wasting" the years we’ve already put in.
The Prompt: If I walked into my life today as a total stranger with zero history, which of my current "obligations" or "goals" would I actually choose to keep? What am I only doing because I’ve been doing it for a long time?
2. Future-Self Continuity (Neuroscience: Dr. Hal Hershfield)
Research shows that when we view our "Future Self" as a stranger, we make worse decisions. When we feel connected to them, we build better structures.
The Prompt: Visualize the version of you ten years from now. What "load" are you currently carrying that they are begging you to put down today so they don't have to deal with the burnout later?
3. Values-Based Architecture (ACT Therapy: Acceptance & Commitment)
Capricorn is the sign of achievement, but achievement without Values is just a gilded cage.
The Prompt: Identify one major success you’re chasing. Is this goal driven by a core value (like freedom, creativity, or security) or is it a Saturnian-Should (expectations from parents, society, or your younger, less-informed self)?
4. The Transpersonal "Ego-Death" (Psychonautic Perspective)
In deep states of consciousness, we realize that the "I" we protect is often just a collection of old stories.
The Prompt: If my name, my job title, and my past achievements were stripped away tonight, what is the 'essential' part of me that remains? How can I build a life that serves that 'essence' instead of just the 'persona'?
The Practice: Somatic Clearing
(Research: Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing)
Since Capricorn is an Earth sign, we store its "stiffness" in our bodies—specifically the joints, bones, and teeth (Saturnian domains).
The Move:
1. Identify the Tension: Sit quietly and find where you feel rigid or heavy.
2. The "Shake Out": For 2 minutes, literally shake your limbs. In biology, animals shake after a stressful event to reset their nervous system.
3. The Reset: As you shake, visualize that 28-degree Capricorn clutter (the old structures, the Saturnian-Shoulds) falling off your skin and into the earth to be composted.
Remember- the mountain isn’t something you conquer; it’s something you become. Right now, the universe is asking you to stop carrying the stones of a life you no longer live. You aren't losing progress by letting go—you are finally distilling yourself down to the essential Architect who can build anything. Drop the weight. The mountain is waiting, but you’ll climb much faster if you drop the heavy stones from the past.
